"Music has shaped the world through six kinds of songs: friendship, joy, comfort, knowledge, religion and love."
Dr. Daniel Levitin, along with the Sonos and LACDC, shows us how the evolution of the human brain made possible music, art, science and society as we know them. He does all this while uncovering six fundamental ways that songs communicate emotion and ideas and so have built human nature. He is currently a James McGill Professor of Psychology, Behavioural Neuroscience, and Music at McGill University (Montreal, Quebec), and Dean of Arts and Humanities at the Minerva Schools at KGI. He is the author of "This Is Your Brain On Music" and "The World in Six Songs". Interesting talk.
